How Our Weekly In-Home Meal Prep Works
- 1. Start With a Free Consultation
We begin with a conversation to learn how your household eats, whether that means managing specific needs like dietary restrictions or performance nutrition, navigating a family with different preferences, or simply wanting more variety and consistency each week. - 2. Personalized Menu Development
Your chef designs a customized meal plan tailored to your tastes, health goals, and the season’s best ingredients. You are welcome to give as much or as little input as you like. We can bring almost anything to life, from everyday comfort meals to more adventurous cooking, including breakfasts, snacks, and desserts if needed. - 3. Ingredient Sourcing and Shopping
We handle all the grocery shopping, sourcing local ingredients from South Sound farms, the Tacoma Farmers Market, and Puget Sound seafood suppliers when they fit your menu. We prioritize and select the freshest organic ingredients available. If you have preferred stores, specific brands, or particular requirements, we accommodate those, too. You do not need to shop or prep anything in advance. - 4. Cooking in Your Kitchen
Your chef arrives at a scheduled time and works through your full week’s menu in your own kitchen. Our chefs prepare delicious, well-balanced meals designed around your goals, with most clients requesting between three and five per week, typically over a three-to-six-hour session. You are welcome to be home or away, whichever you prefer. - 5. Portioning, Labeling, and Organizing
Every meal is portioned, sealed in eco-friendly containers, clearly labeled, and organized so you can enjoy fresh, home-cooked food throughout the week with no extra effort. Heartier dishes like soups and braised proteins stay good for up to seven to ten days. Lighter meals with fresh vegetables or seafood are best within the first few days. Your chef will guide you on what to eat when. - 6. Complete Kitchen Cleanup
After every session, we go through the entire kitchen. Every prep surface is wiped down, every pan is washed, and no part of your kitchen is left unchanged. By the time we are done, the only evidence we were there is a full fridge.
