The Process of Creating Memories

Down To Earth Cuisine is more than a step above your average catering service. We bring the private chef’s mentality to large-scale events, executing a menu of exquisite quality food, no matter the size of our audience. We also take into account the various dietary restrictions of your guests, designing dynamic menus that creatively cater to everyone’s needs. From menu design to clean-up, we’ll handle every detail so you can focus on hosting your guests.

1. We’ll Begin with a Complimentary Consultation

During your consultation, we will talk through every detail of your event to plan an unforgettable meal for you and your guests.

2. Our Chefs Will Design a Personalized Menu

Featuring as many courses as you desire while considering any requests and requirements outlined during our consultation, including offerings such as amuse-bouche, wine pairing, and desserts.

3. We’ll Handle The Grocery Shopping

Before your event, we go shopping for the freshest organic, grass-fed, wild-caught, sustainable, and local ingredients fitting within the dietary needs and restrictions requested.

4. Then We Get To Work Preparing the Food

By constructing each unique course in the cooking space at the event, dancing, and having fun along the way. Your guests are welcome to watch if space permits, or we can work quietly in the background. As we prepare the food, Chef David can offer taste testers and interact with guests to explain each dish upon request.

5. At Last, The Meal is Plated & Served

Your guests will love the beautiful composition of food our chefs create. Get your cameras ready! We pride ourselves on the presentation of our plates, but we’re also happy to serve the food buffet-style, depending on preference and the venue setting.

6. Finally, We’ll Clean Up After Ourselves

Leaving the cooking space spotless by cleaning up after ourselves and exiting through the back door without a trace.

Multi-Course Menus with Dietary Accommodations

When we sit down to plan your event, your Down To Earth chef will ask all the right questions to learn about the event, the serving schedule, and any ideas you have for the menu. We will offer several menu ideas based on the purpose of the event and popular seasonal ingredients available during that time of year. We are very accustomed to planning menus to accommodate both cultural and medical dietary restrictions, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, kosher, halal, paleo, nut-free, and more.

We Reduce Plastic Waste

Our chefs are incredibly conscious of plastic use in the food preparation industry. When shopping, we use paper or reusable bags and purchase products in glass containers whenever possible. Our entire mantra focuses on reducing plastic waste and our carbon footprint during meal preparation while adequately disposing of organic and recyclable waste.

We Protect Salmon & Wild Orcas Populations

We donate a portion of every dollar we earn to planting trees through One Tree Planted. This organization plants and grows trees in the PNW to restore critical habitats for Chinook Salmon, which helps Wild Orcas. Planting trees also helps offset the carbon footprint associated with preparing meals and traveling to and from your home.

To date, we’ve donated 2,985 trees, and your business will help us to plant more each and every month.
