Our 6-Step In-Home Meal Prep Process
- 1. Decide on a Meal Plan Choose how many meals you want each week. Most San Diego clients select three to five meals per family member, though we can accommodate household size. Our service is flexible, so you can adjust your meal planning week to week. You’re free to start or pause service whenever you need.
- 2. Menu Design & Planning Your chef designs fresh, new customized menu items every week based on your preferences, dietary restrictions, and the local ingredients San Diego is known for. Every dish is healthy, flavorful, and crafted with the highest quality produce, proteins, and pantry items.
- 3. We Go Grocery Shopping for Fresh Ingredients On the way to your home, your chef shops at San Diego’s best local markets, specialty stores, and grocery stores. We select organic, non-GMO, wild-caught, and local farm-sourced ingredients whenever possible, ensuring every meal reflects the freshness and quality of Southern California’s farms and fisheries.
- 4. Your Personal Chef Prepares Meals for the Week Your chef arrives with the groceries and gets right to work in your kitchen, preparing your entire week of absolutely delicious food in a single session. This typically takes three to six hours, depending on your plan and household size. You don’t need to be home during the cook, but many clients enjoy chatting with their chef while they work.
- 5. Package & Label Meals in Your Fridge Once the meals are finished, your chef packages and labels everything for easy access throughout the week. Containers are neatly organized in your fridge, and you’ll receive a printed menu with clear reheating instructions so every dish tastes fresh.
- 6. We Clean Up This is the part our clients love. Your chef puts away ingredients, washes all dishes and cookware, sanitizes every surface, and leaves your kitchen spotless. By the time we’re done, your space is clean, organized, and ready for you to enjoy the week’s meals stress-free.
