Chef Ahitza Dominguez's Bio

Chef Ahitza Dominguez brings a thoughtful, detail-driven approach to cooking shaped by both heartfelt beginnings and high-level culinary training. Her earliest memories are rooted in a home where food was central to connection, family gatherings, shared meals, and creative expression sparked a lifelong curiosity for flavor, hospitality, and the joy of cooking with intention.

Formally trained at the Culinary Art School in Tijuana, Mexico, Chef Ahitza built a strong foundation in classical technique before specializing in pastry and baking through the Culinary Art School and EPGB. It was during this time that she discovered her love for precision and edible artistry, skills that would become central to her culinary identity. Her professional journey has taken her through kitchens of all styles, including the disciplined environment of a Michelin three-star restaurant in Barcelona, where she refined her technique, creativity, and attention to detail at the highest level.

Chef Ahitza’s career has since expanded into private cheffing, catering, and culinary instruction. Her experience as a sous chef and catering assistant sparked a deep appreciation for personalized service, leading her to focus on one-on-one client relationships. Today, she is known for creating nourishing, thoughtfully composed meals, playful yet refined menus, and elegant desserts that support wellness goals while celebrating flavor and individuality.

Her culinary philosophy centers on intention, balance, and personal connection. She believes food should feel both comforting and elevated, crafted with care, rooted in skill, and tailored to the person it’s made for. Outside the kitchen, she finds inspiration in ceramics, where working with clay mirrors the patience and artistry of pastry, and in hiking, where nature fuels her creativity and keeps her grounded.
