So I wanted to share a bit about myself and what makes me work so hard. I am all about family and have been blessed with the most beautiful wife to start a family with. This past year was filled with laughs and fun-filled adventures. I was fortunate to see some growth in my personal chef business as well.
My wife Mahlet and I went on a trip to Ethiopia this October. We visited with all her family and were able to visit some of the ancient sites all around the country.
We started in Addis Ababa and then traveled to Gonder where we toured some castles built in the 16th century. I was pretty amazed as I had never been around anything that old. We then went to Lalibela where we toured some churches also built in the 16th century. The churches were all carved out of the solid rock. One was about 80 feet tall in the shape of a cross. We then journeyed to the original and ancient capital city of Axum were we checked out some obelisks, and other sites, built in the 5th century.
To cap it all off we came back to the current capital city of Addis Ababa and had a wedding reception with family and friends where we dressed up in traditional Ethiopian wedding clothes and performed the cultural dances from different regions of the country….. This boy can dance too! I remember being surprised at how cool the temperature is all around the country
We stopped in London for a day on the way to Ethiopia and then stopped in Washington D.C. and New York City for a few days. We visited all of the major monuments in the two cities and were taken aback by the amount of history packed into such a small space (relatively speaking).
We moved into a new place and are setting our sites on 2018 to be yet again the best year of our lives.
