Born and raised in the vibrant coastal region of Goa, India, Shruti developed a deep-rooted love for culinary exploration from a young age. After graduating with a degree in hotel management and catering technologies from Goa, she embarked on a diverse culinary journey.

Shruti ventured into various roles within hotels and restaurants, honing her skills across Mediterranean, Asian, and Indian cuisines.

Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, she established a seafood-centric restaurant, showcasing her expertise in the vibrant flavors of coastal Indian cuisines.

Seeking new horizons, she relocated to the United States, where she immersed herself in the rich culinary tapestry of New Orleans, specializing in Cajun cuisine at a renowned restaurant.

Now settled in Seattle, she continues to delight clients as a chef, crafting bespoke culinary experiences reflecting her diverse expertise and unwavering passion for food.

About Down to Earth Cuisine

Down to Earth Cuisine provides meals that are sustainably and responsibly sourced. To help preserve this approach, we use GMO free products, organic when available and wild caught seafood approved by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Guide to Sustainable Fishing.

When we moved over to custom delivery services, it meant having to find new sustainable ways to deliver the meals, using only compostable containers to reduce use and purchasing of plastic. We also work with One Tree Planted a nonprofit organization that plants trees on our behalf to offset our carbon footprint.
