Chef Eric 's Bio

Eric has been cooking his whole life. He started his cooking journey when he received a scholarship at Ai (The Art Institute of California) in which he won through a cooking competition. However, he gained most of his experience through working in the kitchen at various restaurants, starting as a Line Cook and moving his way up to Sous Chef. He loves to experiment with many different cuisines whether it’s Western, French, Asian, Mexican or even a cross-cultural culinary mash up between two different cultures. As a passionate chef he’s always driven to learn new techniques and he loves to show others what he learned through his food. His future goal in life is to be able to open up his own restaurant where he can showcase his culinary creativity.

Fun Fact

Eric is always eager to learn and try new things, whether it’s experimenting in the kitchen or exploring new heights in snowboarding.

About Down to Earth Cuisine

Down to Earth Cuisine provides meals that are sustainably and responsibly sourced. To help preserve this approach, we use GMO free products, organic when available and wild caught seafood approved by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Guide to Sustainable Fishing.

When we moved over to custom delivery services, it meant having to find new sustainable ways to deliver the meals, using only compostable containers to reduce use and purchasing of plastic. We also work with One Tree Planted a nonprofit organization that plants trees on our behalf to offset our carbon footprint.
