Chef Thomas Wood's Bio

Chef Thomas is a dedicated professional with over 9 years of culinary experience. Throughout his journey, he has traveled across the U.S., exploring diverse cuisines and learning from incredible chefs along the way. Growing up with a Chinese mother who cooked daily, Chef Thomas developed a deep love for food early on, making Chinese cuisine his specialty. He also has a passion for any dish that highlights rich, flavorful sauces.

After graduating from Johnson and Wales University, Chef Thomas had the privilege of working under one of his culinary idols. Over 3 years, he honed his skills under her guidance, eventually being promoted to banquet chef, a position he held for another 3 successful years. Chef Thomas’ knack for crafting personalized dining experiences made his transition to personal cheffing an easy one. Now, he brings joy to his clients with delicious meals every week.

Recently, Chef Thomas moved to Seattle with a supportive group of friends, seeking new opportunities. He’s excited to continue his culinary adventure in this vibrant city.

Down to Earth Cuisine provides meals that are sustainably and responsibly sourced. We use GMO free products, organic when available, and wild caught seafood approved by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Guide to Sustainable Fishing.

Custom delivery uses only compostable containers to reduce plastic waste. We also work with One Tree Planted, a nonprofit that plants trees on our behalf to offset our carbon footprint.
