Chef Taylor's Bio

Taylor Lorenz was born and raised in the Seattle area, and her passion for cooking began at an early age.

Taylor has been cooking for her family for many years.  Several family members have special dietary restrictions, so she learned to creatively design menus that everyone could enjoy.  After high school, she moved to Salt Lake City and worked in a high-end hotel kitchen for 3 years, then moved back to Seattle and again worked in a hotel kitchen for 3 years.

After Covid shut down the hotel, Taylor had the opportunity to be a caregiver for her grandma after a serious surgery, and she spent the summer learning grandpa and grandma’s secrets for gardening, canning, and creating healthy menus.  This led to a desire to be a personal chef and make healthy meals specifically tailored to individual needs.

She has taken a few cooking classes at community college, but the bulk of her education has been on the job.  She gets very excited about learning new food combinations and new techniques.

In her spare time, Taylor enjoys sewing, crafting, and spending time with her two kitties.

Fun Fact:

Taylor has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
