Chef Thomas 's Bio

With over 14 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Thomas has worked across a variety of culinary settings, from casual American eateries to fine dining establishments specializing in Italian, French, sushi, and more. His impressive career includes time at two Michelin-starred restaurants and one recognized with a Michelin Plate, reflecting his exposure to top-tier culinary standards.

A self-taught chef, Thomas developed his skills on the job, learning from accomplished chefs and colleagues. Recently, he earned certification through PESI’s Food is Medicine course, focusing on the powerful impact of food on both mental and physical health.

After a decade in the fast-paced world of professional kitchens, Thomas transitioned to the field of psychology. For the past two years, he has worked as a personal chef in a residential mental health facility, combining his culinary talents with his passion for holistic well-being.

Fun Fact

Chef Thomas has lived in Maine, Sacramento, and Orange County. He has a dog named Ralph, a Great Pyrenees, who has no eyes.

Down to Earth Cuisine provides meals that are sustainably and responsibly sourced. To help preserve this approach, we use GMO free products, organic when available and wild caught seafood approved by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Guide to Sustainable Fishing.

When we moved over to custom delivery services, it meant having to find new sustainable ways to deliver the meals, using only compostable containers to reduce use and purchasing of plastic. We also work with One Tree Planted a nonprofit organization that plants trees on our behalf to offset our carbon footprint.
